Small text can make an otherwise useful device frustrating. Apple includes several settings that can make words, buttons, and other items easier to see.
Increase the text size
- Open Settings.
- Select Display & Brightness.
- Select Text Size.
- Move the slider until the text feels comfortable.
Make text even larger
- Open Settings.
- Select Accessibility.
- Select Display & Text Size.
- Select Larger Text.
- Turn on Larger Accessibility Sizes, then adjust the slider.
Other settings that may help
- Bold Text makes letters thicker.
- Increase Contrast makes some buttons and controls easier to distinguish.
- Display Zoom enlarges icons, controls, and text throughout the device.
Settings can look slightly different depending on your iPhone or iPad model. A comfortable setting is the right setting. You do not need to use the default size.
